Local artists, ceramicists, students and communities, made their way to our construction site in Wimbledon to reclaim construction by -products and transform the material through their unique practices.
Emphasising the issue of displaced material through art to create a conversation. Our goal as a collective is to help facilitate artists and makers, both established and emerging, to work in more sustainable ways, continuing to fuel the conversation of the circular economy
From 3D printed ceramic lamps, to natural dies for fabrics,
we are in awe of how our waste has been reimagined.
With each new construction project, Golden Earth Studio invites creatives from all backgrounds to collect free clay, make, and sell their works through GES.
We understand there’s some uncertainty around using non-commercial clays. That’s why we are creating ‘The Clay Zine’. A compilation of knowledge on how creatives utilise the material in their practice. This zine aims to demystify the challenges and spark inspiration for others to take the first step.
