British-born Hong Kong artisan Rickie Cheuk is a materials explorer whose practice centres around experimental making and circular design. Working across disciplines, he creates objects using waste materials sourced from a range of industries, reimagining the overlooked or discarded with inventive craftsmanship.
Most recently, Rickie salvaged piping and old sinks from the demolition of a residential home, transforming the waste material into chopsticks, merging structure, materiality, and storytelling.
